I’ve fallen in love, and this time I’ll refrain from talking about Danny Gokey on American Idol. However, I do love that man!! No, this is a “what”, not a “who” that has swept me off my feet. I’ve recommended this item on a few posts because of its novelty, but it wasn’t until a certain someone surprised me with my very own that I truly appreciated the genius behind this. I’m talking about the Baker’s Edge pan. It makes a perfect brownie!!
I’ve said it before; there are two types of people in the world – those who eat the edges of the brownies and those who go straight for the center. I haven’t quite figured out what it says about a person, but without a doubt I am an edge girl. Every piece you cut from this amazing pan has perfectly crisp edges. And its use goes way beyond brownies. The Baker’s Edge website lists a slew of recipes including, chocolate chip cookie bars, rocky road brownies, cheesecake bars, lemon bars, and even lasagna.
My oh-so-picky boy was completely intrigued by the shape of the pan and couldn’t wait for the taste test. But when it came time, he of course found a way to be picky. He requested that I cut the ”crusts” off. My first thought was, “Are you crazy?”, but then I grabbed a knife and proceeded to eat every single one of those edges before he could change his mind.
We have a winner!!! 12 was the lucky number this time around. This awesome pan goes to Andrea! Enjoy those crispy edges!
Here’s whats got me so excited this week. The Baker’s Edge company has given me one of these pan to give away. Here’s all you need to do:
- Leave a comment on this post and tell me how you like your brownies (fudgey, cakey, dark chocolate, with ice cream…you get the idea.) or what you would make in this pan.
- Leave your comment with a way for me to contact you if you win (either a blog link or email).
- Deadline to enter is Monday, May 25th at 5:00 p.m. (recorded by the comment time stamp).
- The winner will be chosen at random using random.com and announced next Tuesday!

I love my brownies fudgey, sometimes w/ walnuts. I think they are best when they are served warm w/ ice cream. And doesn’t everyone love the edges?! This pan looks awesome!!
Okay, we all know that Random.com never picks #1, but I’ll be the sacrificial lamb and get this started because that pan rocks. (I’ve had my eye on it for quite awhile.)
I would definitely make fudgey brownies in this pan and add a cup of mini chocolate chips for extra chocolate and gooeyness. Thanks for posting such a great giveaway!
I have been eyeing this pan for a while, so when I got Karyl’s e-mail, I decided that I must enter the contest. : )
I would also make fudgey brownies, and I would also eat it with a scoop of Bluebell Homemade Vanilla ice cream. Makes me want brownies right now! The chocolate chips aren’t a bad idea, either!
Well I cant let only one person be in the drawing for the lovely brownie pan. Even though she is who told me about. If I win I will give her a brownie (maybe even more than 1). I love the crispy edges !!!
Thanks for the chance to win!! My hips will love this !
Go Kate! Great blog! I love dark chocolate fudgy brownies but my daughter is happy just to eat the uncooked dough. Using Scharffen Berger makes the best!
How fun! I love contests, but don’t seem to win (except for the Three Muskateers Bar I won when I was 10…). I too am an “edge” girl. It works well in my home, as my husband likes the center. The edges of a brownie are actually more like a cookie than a cake, which is why I like them. I too have seen this pan in ads or somewhere, and have been intrigued. How great that Baker’s Edge has given you one to give away!
I love edges with caramel dripped over them. I also like chocolate chips inside. My mom used to put peanut butter chips inside. Another idea that is good is to put coffee ice cream on top. Yumm-o Keri
I like my brownies fudgey. I put a couple of Hersey Chocolate candie bars on top of the brownies just before you remove them from the oven. Keep in the oven until chocolate bar melts. You also can add any kind of nut for the topping. Yummy !!!!
Okay, so it’s my first time commenting and of course it’s coupled with wanting to win something, so fate will probably have it that I will not be selected. However, should I be so lucky, I have my eating pants ready and my IPod queued and ready to help me through a few punishing sessions of Pilates.
See my weakness is for chocolate and my favorite way to enjoy it is by way of a perfect chewy crusted brownie that has a moist but not heavy inside and dressed up à la mode (preferrably vanilla bean).
Oops, forgot to add this to my initial comment (or maybe a well crafted plan to double my chance of winning this awesome pan)………
For those who also enjoy this chewy outside but cakey and moist inside equation, try baking your brownies in a water bath. This is a method I picked up a few years ago and they come out perfect every time.
Love the website and love the edge!
How about a pineapple upside down cake?
I would make lasagna in edge pan!
I would make the brownies fudge-like with a layer of marshmallows on top! Mmmm!
I love the corners; crispy yet chewy with a heavy chocalate fudge flavor.
