Happy Birthday to Laura, one of my girlfriends I could not live without!! Laura is also the one whose coffee I spilled all over my car seat last week. Laura and I met my first year of teaching, fifteen years ago.  Had she not been teaching in the classroom next door to me, it probably would have been my first and last year in the classroom. I hid under her desk on more than one occasion when a parent tried to hunt me down after school. It was a tough year, and she got me through it!

Laura has gone through all of the up and downs with me. We have spent too many times to count venting over martinis and coffees.  I baked up tea cup cookies and got her a Starbucks card for her special day (the least I can do after last week!). Happy Birthday to my dear friend Laura! My world is so much better with you in it!

The photos didn’t turn out great (sorry), but I loved how whimsical the cookies looked. You can’t tell by the pictures, but this is a large cookie.
