I love the color of this cocktail. Isn’t it gorgeous? You know how passionate I am about martinis on Monday – so this week we’re shaking up the Purple Passion martini. Our family is in the midst of party season right now. My Sis is visiting and we’re celebrating my niece’s birthday and my boy is turning eight on Friday. I am in full blown cake baking mode. I made an adorable cake for my niece who loves Tinkerbell. It turned out darling and I had a great time making it. The boy is still trying to decide what kind of cake he wants for his celebration. The suspense is killing me!

My mom is also in full-blown party mode (What a surprise!). Last week she and a girlfriend hosted Bunco. This Bunco group is not the typical group of moms trying to escape small children. These women know how to plan a party. It is amazing the lengths these women go to. Each year they select a theme and each host has to plan her party around that theme. This year’s theme is movies and the party’s theme this week was “Wine and Roses”.
