Sugar Cookies to Celebrate the Start of Flip-Flop Season!

Flip-flop season for my boy is pretty much all year long. Thank you Old Navy for your $2.50 flip-flops. We are forever grateful! I’m pretty sure the boy has the entire rainbow. Rain or shine, the child puts on flip-flops. I learned long ago to pick my battles, and flip-flops in the rain isn’t one of them. I’m a bit partial to the flip-flops too, and I’m not embarrassed to  admit to wearing mine in the rain on several occasions too (strange I know). My place of employment doesn’t encourage flip-flops, so most days I’m wearing heels. I LOVE shoes! Regardless of weight gain or loss, you can always feel good about yourself with the right pair of heels.

The countdown to summer has officially begun, and as much as I LOVE my rainbow of work shoes, I can’t wait to trade them in for flip-flops for a few months. My BFF, Deb, who moved back East a few months ago is coming out with her girls for another 2 week long slumber party right when school gets out. I can’t wait for beach bonfires, park days, pool days, and staying up way past our bedtimes catching up. Our friendship transcends the miles, but the truth is I’m very selfish and I want her back in California permanently. A few weeks for now is a good start!

Last summer I made these flip-flop sugar cookies and they were a hit. This time around I did a few different designs. I wrapped these up with ribbon that had waves on it, which looked super cute.  If you’re interested in buying this cookie cutter, or seeing a visual tutorial on how to make these, check out last year’s flip flop post.

Absolutely Adorable! This is probably my favorite cookie cutter of all time. I just look at it and I am transported to the beach and good times! I made these once for a friend of mine, but they were not even close to this cute! I love flip flops too, but they don’t love me. I can’t count how many times I have fallen when wearing them. I am so graceful!!. I tried to pick my favorite out of your collection, but I love them all. Thanks for a great post!!!

Your collection of flip-flops here is adorable. I think my fav are the ones with the sunflowers. Every cookie cupboard needs a collection like this.
Enjoy your visit with your BFF and her girls…sure to be a great 2 weeks!
