First off, my apologies for my late cocktail post. I’m overwhelmed getting back to work! Yes, work…I think it’s safe to share that my job has come back around. After being in limbo for so many months, I was officially reinstated. There’s a slight chance things will change once more before the start of the school year, but if they do, my job will only go from “great” to “even better”. In hindsight, I spent too many hours worrying about my job. It usually takes hindsight before we finally get it, doesn’t it? All of that time could have been spent doing something productive, but no regrets, I learned more being in God’s waiting room than I have in a long time. Ironically, I popped into the mailroom today and noticed that my name on my mailbox had been crossed out with a Sharpie. I could have gone back to my crazy, worry mode, but opted to laugh instead.
But, back to happy hour now that I have something big to celebrate. Just so everyone’s clear, X-rated fusion is probably the only x-rated thing this girl next door is into (wouldn’t want to paint the wrong picture of myself!). The bottle alone is enough to make you want to try this stuff and trust me, it does not disappoint. It’s pretty in pink and perfect for a night with your girlfriends. It’s made with a combination of French vodka, blood oranges, and passion fruit. There are a ton of great recipes to make with X-rated fusion, so even though it has a bit of a high price tag, you’ll enjoy every sip of it.

3/4 part Meyer Lemon Juice
1/2 part Simple Syrup
Soda
Build cocktail in a Collins glass
Top with ice
Two of my girlfriends like to shake up this…
one shot vodka
top off with Squirt soda
Garnish with a slice of blood orange
